Positive Packaging

Island Glitter packaging is 100% plastic free and 100% recyclable, and always will be 💚. You don’t even need to remove the sticker so it’s easy peasy.

We’ve worked super hard to ensure it is just as eco-friendly as our lovely glitter, after all, selling biodegradable glitter in plastic pots is a little crazy 🤪. You can check out all there is to know about our packaging here.

But what’s the fuss, can’t plastic pots be recycled?

Sure, PET is recyclable but not over and over again because it loses its quality 😬. We chose aluminium because it can be infinitely recycled (like glass) and never degrades.

In short, this means that after a while plastic can’t be made into another pot/bottle/lid and ends up being made into things like astro turf. Yikes eh? 😬

Small changes you can easily make

Here are 4 super easy things you can change to help those little fishies 🐠🐟

Carry A Reusable Water Bottle 💧

We know we know, it’s an obvious one. Bottles like Chilly can keep water cold for 24 hours, we’re such a fan we even take them on planes, just guzzle them before security and fill them back up air-side.

Recycle Your Phone 📱

Did you know that 80% of your phone can be recycled? Pass it on when you upgrade and you’ll probably get a few pennies for it too 💰

Take A Tote 👜

Pop one in your handbag, it’s light and if you get the urge to shop, you don’t need to buy a plastic one

Buy A Metal Safety Razor 💁🏻‍♀️

This is a game changer! The blades are so much cheaper, they shave super close, they don’t come in all that crazy vacuum sealed plastic that no-one can ever open and last but not least, they can be recycled too if you pop them in a tin can for safety! (Louie snaffled her dad’s razor, it’s 45 years old and still perfect 💪)
